So I've been getting a bit more serious about getting my 96 front end swapped into an 01 (XLT 2wd) as I already have the grill and headlights after hitting a deer last year. Was doing a little deeper research and realized I never considered if I am going to need to change the fender aprons to make bolting on the new fenders and core support less of a."fabrication nightmare" or if I could use existing panels and bolt on the updated sheet metal and core support (hood is being updated as well). Any one who has some hands on knowledge of the process could weigh in and help me to start off in the right place with out me dooming my project before I even get started lol.
