Well Im thinking about getting a front end hitch reciever for my Mazda B4000 4x4....the only thing holding me back is that some websites say that some cutting of the plastic is required. Does anybody know anything about these types of hitches and how they bolt on and any mods need to accomadate them?

and it bolts onto the frame where the swaybar does, and i think theres one going through the frame horizontally in an existing hole, so total of 3 bolts per side, no drilling required.

only mod was cutting the front plastic.

One question, how/what do you cut the plastic with?

i either used a utility knife or a hacksaw, forget..but those would be my suggestions. hacksaw seems more controllable.

The plastic is not hard to cut, the hardest part would be marking it correctly.

Also, for the Mazdas I think that the hitch isnt as intrusive on the plastic as it is on the Rangers.....Like in the pictures above, there are two seperate plastic "runners" whereas on my truck there is only one, so all i would have to cut would be a notch for the top of the hitch.
