freaking overflow on front diff

ah, that gearset will buff right out...

how does your cooling system do on a normal hot day driving? it's going to get hotter in 4wd because it is under more load (and usually at a lower speed getting less airflow across the radiator), but you could have cooling issues like a bad thermostat or a plugged radiator or a rusted out water pump.

depending on where you are in WA, I'm in Tigard Oregon and have a free 2.9L radiator that did just fine with my turbo 2.3, I just took it out to upgrade to a extreme duty explorer radiator...

free....man wish i lived closer...gonna be moving to astoria in about 4 months. But kinda sounds like i might need it now.

can i get my radiator checked somewhere to see if its clogged? or can i do it? not to sounds like a complete nooby, but never had to deal with 4x4 or radiator stuff....usuallt just sensors and hoses. guess i have been lucky till now...lol....

well let me know what yall think.

how does the coolant look? nice and bright green or brown and nasty? you might be able to flush it out a few times and get it workable. Don't bother using coolant for this process, water will work fine. There's a drain spiggot on the bottom passenger side of the radiator, get a piece of 3/8" nylon hose a foot or two long and stick it on the spout to get it in a bucket. if it's too plugged to get anything out of this hole take a piece of wire and stab it in after removing the screw valve thing, this should get it moving fairly well and save you some time, you have a few months until it gets cold enough to need actual coolant around here anyway, just try to get actual green stuff in by December...

huh....ok...well ill take a look at her....

ill do that and then if my temp raises again ill just take my radiator off and maybe poor a hgose in one side and let it shoot out the other and bang on it here and there...hopefully what ever is plugged or messed up will come rolling out....

come to find out a week later that its probably not even my radiator....lol

well heres a big cheer to investigating another danger ranger problem...lol....this thing shouldnt be on the road...lol
