im currently debating whether or not to build another "frankenstein" ranger. the last one i built was a 1990 std cab long bed 2wd with the 2.3l. i had a blue one with a manual trans and a grey one with an auto. i smashed the blue one into some horses on my way to work 4 years ago, so i had to build a new truck. put everything form the blue one into the grey one and voila, franken-ranger. it has lasted me 4 years at 240,000mi. with only the usual maintenence, but its starting to loose alot of weight(rust). what i have now is a 1993 ranger ext. cab, short bed 3.0l 2wd w/ auto trans and another 93 ranger std cab, short bed with 3.0l 2wd and manual trans. i want to use the body and motor from the ext cab, and rob the manual trans out of the std cab. what i need to know is whether or not ford made a 1993 ranger ext cab, shortbed with a manual trans. for drive shaft compatibility. if not, is it posssible to find one that will fit? you guys helped me alot with the first franken ranger, so now i have alot more confindence, which could be a bad thing (just because you can doesnt mean you should).

all x-cabs are short beds, and im about 100% positive there are plenty of 2wd x-cab 5 speeds... i think u can get a driveshaft lengthened for like 100 bucks or something if ya cant find one?
