ok i have a 94 extended cab.. the bed is destroyed on it so im prolly building a steel bed for it, but i want to shorten the frame a lil.. but from what i see the shortest i can make it is like 2 inchs because the leaf shackle gets in the way, and that small 4-6 inchs from the back of the frame is either twisted a lil or rotted so i was just gonna cut it off

just wondering what i should do with the leaf springs?

any suggestions?

back half the thing cut it off behind the cab and build new with 2/4 box

buy new hangers and put them where ever you want

i got gifted the ranger came with all four new hangers lol so i dont need to buy new ones.. ranger1 i looked under it, if i move the axle anymore than like 5 inchs forward it will hit the gas tank, i would need to relocate that (which i was wanting to do anyways)

I cut my 91 off right after the spring hangers....by the time you account for removing the rear bumper and brackets you gain about 10" off the back of it.

Well with how much camping I do with the truck, it is just more practical than your typical flat deck or tube bed.
