Frame Crack

thanx for that info plumcrazy, had i known this before hand i would have made it the way you stated but whats done is done now. from the way the crack looked, it had been like that for some time and with my abusive wheeling and hauling 2 dirtbikes and camping gear all last summer i'm supprised that it didn't break completely off. :icon_rofl: . lol o well ya live ya learn.

I'll tell you what is scary, when I use to drive truck long haul, I had a Cab over Pete when I first started back in 90, it was a 87, I left out one morning with 45,000 pounds in the trailor, I stopped in White Pine where I live to get fuel, and was looking at the frame wondering how to get some lights on it to help light up the night (Boss man was good about letting us drivers customize his truck), I notice that where was light coming from the frame, behide the cab close to where the airbag hanger was, got to looking real close, and the frame had cracked from the bottom up to about 3/4 ways up the frame rail, and was getting bigger as I was putting fuel in the 150 gallion each tanks.

I never drove that truck again after that, Boss man gave me a 90 Kenworth to drive.
