So Four Wheeler is letting the readers pic the competitors this year...and I couldn't help but notice this 93 Ranger. 540ci Ford V8 with Dana60 and a 5:13 gear ratio rolling 44's
Its about time we see a Ranger in this compitition....and hopefully shut out the flawless Jeeps that have taken over competition the past few years..Only thing is he needs our help to get inn....official ballot is in the 2010 April edition..should be easy to find...its got the Ranger on the cover! So pick it up and vote!

looks like it could get through the trap ok....probably do good in the pull too.

Lol, the guys lives a couple hrs from me. I got to check it out when it was getting cage work done at a shop I get parts from. It's a pretty rank lil machine, bout the only thing really 'ranger' though is the body. It's a fully fabricated chassis etc...

More tube buggies are winning lately then Jeeps....

well i will be in hollister in a few weeks....he can come hang out if we really think he can get in....at least know whats there....then again...being from up there hollister may be a cakewalk.

I picked that mag up because that was on the cover, but then it was just a small clip about it as an entrant. I hope they get in just to see more specs on it.

wow.....that steering is what i been looking for.

the videos are killer too.

EVO kind of specializes in that now, they manufacture their own rams, with heim ends etc. Definately worth checking out if your in the market.

Lol, i just read that like an hour ago on the shitter! maybe someday i'll be civilized... :D

More buggy than truck. Nothing Ranger about it other than the body. It is a great looking rig though. I'll be voting for it.

i dont agree. it is plain and simple a heavy frame truck with some serious non heavy truck work suspension.

What size tubing is that frame made from?

Wonder if you're better off (cheaper) starting with that than boxing the factory frame?

If I had to guess I would say it is 8x2" rect. tube. Thickness....dunno prob 3/16".
