Found something.... "interesting"

I'm personally going to go with plan C.

Tell the guy at the junkyard "torch the phucker off"

Then worry about seperating the chunks of frame that will likely
still be bolted to the brackets afer the whole mess is laying on
my garage floor.

I gotta say that Plan C as described by Allan D gets my vote as well. lol

After you have it in the garage, Plan 1 by Forcus is a good one. I have used the tighten method as well to break bolts loose. keep tightening and loosening the bolts, this will clean the threads as you do this and you can wire brush them as needed while doing this too.

i like plan C also but personally i like to factor in a vise and sawzall when needed.

actually for that I'm much more skilled with a torch than the mono-brow
rocket surgeon who is in the losing end of the tooth:tatoo ratio who will
torch it off at the junkyard

So... I will use my own torch to "clean off" the bits they leave behind.

MAKG they will work on a B2 because junkie ran a set on his for a while....

No he didn't. Need a history lesson.

He ran them on the ranger, broke them, upgraded to the superlift arms and broke them too. He's got the Skyjackers right now. The B2 got a custom extended set right off the bat. But he is using plated rancho brackets for the pivots however.

Sounds like a good find Allan. they will be fine for a DD. Locally there is an 89 Ranger that has the 2.5" Rancho lift and a 3" bodylift.

those almost look like you could flip them over and run them on either side:dunno: still funky

Joel,

My interest in the truck began with the lift kit, but it wasn't the lift kit I was really interested in.

I've found that junkyard trucks where someone actually went to the effort of installing a lift kit in them they frequently also go to the effort and expense of adding traction aiding diffs to them... In this case it's either a locker or a really "tight" limited slip of some persuasion... It's the LSD I'm interested in.... that and it looks like the shafts aren't as "crusty" as >15year old D35 usually are.... so someone seems to have worked on this axle.

I'm also curious what they did inside the rear axle...
