a buddy of mine works for Ford and i guess they were having a raffle back before deer season started and he and his friend won so they got to take the raptor home for the weekend, and since they both put in money for the ticket they decided to drive it up north for deer season so that they would both get to drive it. the on they had was a white 4 door with black digital mud and the 6.2l with all the digital bells and whistles. i got to drive it for a few miles around town, it ripped but the traction control still kicks on once your spinning wheels reach certain speed even when you manually shut it off and the trans seemed kinda klunky but it was a beast and handle the wash board dirt roads at 75mph with ease!

i got my side cover back from the guy who welded it and i have to say, im very damn impressed! he even made me a side cover to replace the one that was missing.

That's awesome.

i went home and put the cover on and fired it up to make sure there was no rubbing and it fired up on the third kick in 5* weather!

thanks RSH, its a fun little toy that i wish i would have had as a kid, but i think its still just as much fun now as it would have been back then. hopefully my new parts will be there when i get home, then ill have something to do tonight!

How tall of a spacer did you make with the washers? I might be lifting mine soon. And did you use a longer bolt or make extensions? Do you also happen to know how much of a difference in height you have between the back and front? I like that stance.

damn, i have been reading this whole tread for the past 2 hours, not even close to be being done but so far damn....If i knew just half the shit you did i would be happy or hell if you were my brother or even a neighbor haha. I got to say you have made one very ****ing fine ass build.

thanks for the compliment american1990, the best way to get good at fabbing things and modding things is to make a plan in your mind, write it down and think it through, then make it happen. youll have to repeat this process a few times but thats just practice and its where all of us have to start. if you want some more ideas for your 1990 check out the rescue ranger build in the bottom of my post. Mp3deviant721, i made the washer stacks 1-1/2" tall and got a pair of new grade 8 3/4"x10" bolts. on the front of the truck, from the ground to the middle of the wheel well lip it measures 33-1/2", and on the rear its 34-1/2". i am using 6400 belltech shackles, so you might end up with a reverse rake like i had before installing the shackles.

Things have been pretty uneventful for the last month so unfortunately there are no updates to be made. The only real news i have to report on is that earlier this week I took a trip to the ER and had my appendix removed the on same day that Terra had an appointment to find out the sex of our baby. It was a crazy 2 day experience at the hospital but im home recovering now and on july 10th i get to meet my new born baby son!
I gotta squeeze in my last few mods on the ranger and im almost tempted at this point to try and find a 4.10 ring and pinion from a 7.5" and then rebuild and regear one of the spare open 7.5" i have laying around. Then all i need is a lock rite and a shiny new car seat to put in my truck!

That's awesome buddy!

Wow. I just spent two days reading this thread from start to finish and I'm so impressed!!! I wish I had the funds to find myself a second ranger that I could turn into something similar only 4wd lol. I'de love to be able to make some of the things you can and the bumpers are genius btw.
