thats far from totaled! thats shouldnt be even 3 grand of damage. i got t-boned in my 96 ranger ext cab and drove it to the shop... you should be ok.
If they offered 3k I would take it and run. Kbb says fair condition value 2400 thats what the insurance is going to look at and try to lowball it. I have no clue about body work prices here. I might drive around on the weekend and get some quotes to get an idea and also cover my back. Like said I could get the bumper and fender from JY for 50-100$ but I have no way of pulling that bent cab corner out even though its just the small piece underneath the headlights where the fender attaches to the cab. The frame ends are still on the same line so no problem there and it drove nicely once we bent the bumper off the tires way. Well its going to be interesting on Monday when I get the police report so I can start working with the colorado guys insurance.
