So far I agree with all the previous posts however I will pipe up and comment that oncec an extended-cab owner you are spouiled! It's just like getting cruise control for the first time. Once you have experienced it you like it! I currently have 2 Rangers 1 a 94 and a 2001 both with extra cabs. The one before that was a 90 and it was an extra cab as well (so is my 250 Super-duty). The 4 doors vs is also quite nice.

BTW The 2.3/ auto combos are SLUGS!!!! If you get a 4-banger find one with a stick. Mine has a stick & 4.10 gears & she moves pretty good.

Not really... I own a std cab and an ex cab. The extended cab is nice cause I can lock my tools in my truck and the windows are tinted but my old standard cab 84 feels more truck like and nostalgic.
