Alight i have a 1994 ford ranger 4.0....it has a ford 8.8 28 spline, i think. Now what other stock vehicle's can i go to to get a posi unit to fit my axle, from a junk yard. Im getting pretty tired of my one wheel wonder and would love to go 2 wheel drive cheap. I can't afford buying a new diff. so someone please help me out in this department. I would hate to weld my diff!

What he said^ Don't bother with the hassle of swapping in an LS that will not perform well anyways. A no-slip or lock-right would be a much better choice.

To answer the question, many 4.0L Rangers did come with the 28 spline limited slip. I would think many 5.0L Mustangs have them as well. A few Aerostars may have them too, although they're not as common on those.

I would also agree, if offroad performance is important, a limited slip is gonna let you down big time. Now if it's just some extra traction you need for bad street driving conditions, then the locker likely would be overkill.

mustang does. i believe crown vic also.
