Ford emblem on tailgate

I need to replace the Ford emblem on my tailgate because for some odd reason it is starting to lose its color. I was curious if there is an easy way of taking off the old one without scratching the paint and denting the tailgate.

I'd also like to know how to get the emblem off.. BUT, this tech library article might help you so that you won't have to buy a new emblem

I say read it in the tech library then you can also change the color to to match you truck.

just use a heat gun, and some fishing line, then just use some adhesive remover to get the rest of the tape off the body. if your going to reinstall clean it all up and just reapply double side tape
