Floor jacks, what’da’a use?

I’ve got a teq/ car quest brand 3 ton roller jack.
Big cast iron jobber. Has decent lift, but not great for smaller cars. Has a lot of slop in the link for the piston, so on lower cars there can be too much play to even actuate.
Works good on SUVs and light duty trucks.

Works ok rebuild the piston a few years ago.

Looking to get one of them newer jacks with the dual pistons with the roller rockers and springs. I think that would be nice in tight places without a lot of throw on the handle.

Been looking at the ProEagle Abrams and the Daytona SuperDuty.

I’m leaning towards the ProEagle because of the oversized wheels and it’s made in USA. Figured it would be better in the gravel driveway.

Only reason I’m considering the HF jack is because I could go buy one and pick it up tomorrow. Seems like the quality is probably close/ the same, but no reason to buy made in china when you could get USA made for almost the same price ($290 vs $300)

What are you guys using?

I have the HF Pittsburgh 3 ton floor jack. pretty happy with it so far. that Daytona would be a nice upgrade to it. However, depending on price differential, I would probably try the ProEagle if nothing else because it is made in the USA, which I have not seen in any floor jacks since the 80s...

I have a Yellowjacket floor jack that is probably identical to that Daytona jack, except color and markings.

Before that i had a big michelin branded jack that quit pumping and a napa one thatll only lift a quad or mower.
I've a 3 ton Michelin branded jack which I got from Cdn Tire along with 4 jack stands. It's served me well for couple decades now. It isn't really 3 ton though as it struggles to lift the F-150 (which is barely a ton...)

So, I got kids each the 2 ton one - thinking it was better than the jack that came with the truck.
They were pure junk - not sure if they are rebuildable but they leak so bad you barely have enough time to install thejackstand before they have sagged so much that you can't....
Correction: I struggle to lift the F-150 with the jack as I only weigh 100kg. The jack might be capable of more, I'm just not heavy enough.

So, none of the pro eagle jacks are actually made in the USA, not sure where i got that idea.

There are some USA made jacks, but mostly seems like massive 10 ton jobbers.

Probably just end up with the Daytona HF thing, wait for a coupon or something and go pick it up in person.

Probably easier to get a seal kit for in 10 years anyway since they are so ubiquitous.

Shame, i hate buying stuff made in China even if it's good quality.

I was gonna say mine (when new) had no problem lifting the whole ass end of my 94 E150 conversion

A Lincoln 2 ton I’ve owned for 27 years. Had it resealed once, think it’s due again. Have three other China jacks, I always reach for the Lincoln first.

100kg = 220lbs; I ain't exactly small. The 60cm (24") handle just doesn't provide enough leverage/it is lifting too fast per stroke.

Mine had a 4ft handle

I have a mini red jack that i bought back in 95 or 96 and a harbor freight low profile 3 ton that i got a few years back.

The hf ine is so much easier to use since its one of those that takes less pumps to work but it weighs so much that i dont take it anywhere outside of the garage area for working on stuff
