Flatbed Tubebed build

I'm going to loose the small hoop . But do need something to take it's place . Any ideas ?
I like the hoop
Would it look better if I moved the tubes coming off the hoop more to the sides like almost totally off the radius ?

i think pointing them more towards the center or the main hoop (off the radius as you mentioned) would make it look better.

My biggest problem is the rear-most "supports" that just go to the center of your main stringers. They're completely unsupported there unless you run another tube downward into the center bedrail support. No node should be unsupported. If those supports went all the way to the rear of the bed and truncated at that node, then I would like the design better.
I would also be very tempted to add a single diagonal brace from the center of the bend (or where the bedrail intersects) forward to the next bedrail support as well.

Using HREW or DOM? everything looks great, but yeah, it really is too high for the spare. It would ruin your field of view too much. Good Job!
Kind of waiting until closer to the end for gussets .

looks great. wish i could get away with the cooler looking setup like that but i need a bed.
for the boxes i suggest to have them on their side under the fenders...possible captured with some rod type brackets for protection or just hanging from the fender. i seen em like that on a few old trucks and it looked like it worked great.
i started a bed and think i am just gonna make the boxes part of the fender and have a big drawer where your bed floor is in the back part and a fuel tank in the front part with my deck being what your fenders are all the way across with extensions to make it wider and longer when those needs arise. the suck there is the deck is pretty tall. the vehicle i was using so i could work on the bed broke a few days later so i never been able to work on it since as i been driving the truck....i just set some wood on top and plopped a tank up there and some batteries as i was in a bind. hopefully that will change this week.
i just need a headache rack and rear most extensions incorporated into some sides so i can haul ladders, wood, 4-5 motorcycles and stuff trucks do... wont be building rollover protection in my bed.
so i am jealous of yours, its a damn fine looking upgrade!
