I have noticed that most body mount brackets for our trucks (Especially 1st and 2nd gen) are obsolete and/or hard to find good used ones. I am too lazy to take them off my parts truck, remove the bed, use a torch to remove the rivets...
Started with this. (Metal pieces were there just to hold the new bushing there)

But anyway. When I was at Home Depot looking for washers to weld on there, I went to find some electrical connectors when this caught my eye.

Figured I could weld two to the mount. One on the top and the bottom.

Ended up like this. Just need to drill out the hole for my new bushings. They fit perfect on the underside of the cab brackets. 3.5" electrical box covers.

I got to thank my friend for welding them in. I am no good with a welder yet. (Used a Lincoln 125 with Fluxcore)
