first time ford owner

Heyguys. This is my first Ford. 1988 rangerxlt, 2wd automatic. It was given to me. I usually have chevy truckks, but when I drove the ranger, i liked how it performed. The transmission went out of it, so I rebuilt it. Now the reverse barely works at all. This is my first transmission rebuild. Free truck so i'm not out a lot of cash. I sure could use a little help though.

Not too sure about your trans issue..They are definitely a weakness of mine.
Sounds like you might have to pull it back down and see whats going on. Maybe a band needs to be tightened??
