First Gen EV

dude! you are not lying about the engines being run up getting old. we are right across the street from where they run up too and it sucks. we aren't close enough where its horrible and you wish you had ear plugs but we are close enough where you hear this noise that is louder than all the other noise in the shop and it goes on for however long. the first time i was at my desk going what the hell is that noise? i kept looking around and than i sat and listened and was bummed that our new building is right where you hear the planes that have the radar on top that covers the gulf of mexico are parked and worked on and where the navy flight school is for the prop planes.

those are what we hear alot. and its annoyign as heck

Once again the doppler effect comes into play for what you were hearing. IIRC what you heard in the shows was a tie fighter approaching and moving away. That's not what its going to sound like sitting in the cockpit.

Honestly, I can't recall if there are any scenes in Star Wars that would accruately depict the sound of a tie fighter from the cockpit.

Unknown "accuracy" lol but there are several cockpit shots, more of a gentle whine in the cockpit.

Unknown "accuracy" lol

We are talking about fictional engines, in fictional spaceships, in a fictional galaxy. Hell the same physics might not even apply there. I mean we've got a magic force that let an old woman space walk without a space suit and no harm, and her brother fight an entire army practically bare handed when he wasn't even on the same planet.

Star Wars is so much more pleasant when ignoring the prequels and sequels.

It's all good- we live in a fictional reality.

Quit poking holes in the fun bucket -__- lol.

I won't argue with that, but being familiar with them does help with understanding the other stuff they are producing now.

(y) Get in trouble for telling facts, and fiction is passed at truth. Hard to know what's right any more... not really, but you know what I mean.

Quit poking holes in the fun bucket -__- lol.

Where's the fun in that?

Fair point. Andor and some of the other content outside the main series has been solid.

Don't mind me, I am just terrifying locals doing high speed passes in my EV...
