I went in November, so I was there for thanksgiving, -10 degree field training exercises, and apparently a rare snowing event.
Our FTX3 was a 25 mile ruck to a site that we setup as a FOB with foxholes and a checkpoint. It was 2 nights of -10° lows, with the final ruck back being 80° and humid af.
Overall I got permanent injuries in basic training, had a good 6 year contract with my aviation unit here in PA, and then served out 2 years on standby (part of the contract).
Was a fun ride I would gladly do again, if I wasn't in my mid 30's with a wife, kid and injured feet lol.
