finally enlisted

Took me 2 years of training and 9 recruiters, but I'm finally enlisted into the US National Guard, I leave in November for BCT in Jackson SC and have a very wacky schedule. A month in BCT I come home for Christmas, then return a week later Lol.

I am going for 15T as a career, which is a Blackhawk Mechanic. Aiming to become a warrant officer before my first enlistment is up.

Anyone ever do 15T here?

Do you have any college a AA is the best way to get to flight training if that is what you want. To be a ground WO it generally requires you to be a E5 at a minimum with several years experience in the MOS/career field wanted.

Its not easy, but it is easier than it was years ago. Cant figure out what they want, kicking out many yet claiming they cant meet recruiting goals but that is the dem way of doing things. Spend the money and then cut the mil to make it look good.

Was not a mech, flew helicopters, retired as CW4 was flying the EH 60 and UH-1 when I retired.

Thanks! I worked hard for it, going to be going to California University of PA for generals and browse their programs for my first two years before picking one. Can't wait to get my feet off the plane in SC for BCT.

Go get 'em Kip! You can do anything your truly set your mind to. Uncle Sam can open some doors for you if you're willing to put in the time and effort. You've got plenty of time to get into shape to kick butt in BCT!

I did black hawk mechanic training back in 03. It was way easier then a&p school.
