Fiberglass shell

Is it possible to patch fiberglass? Part of the glass on my bed is cracked and coming loose. I hate that my truck even has it on there because it's always going to get damaged.

If so it is not fiberglass but SMC (sheet mold compound) which is similar to fiberglass. SMC requires the use of repair material specific for SMC. It can be repaired. SMC when damaged has a tendency to stress crack and travel past the damaged area. Most of the time the entirety of the damages can't be seen until the paint is removed and the part is removed to reveal the backside of the part. There are some good structural adhesives and repair materials out there for SMC. If you know a seasoned body man I'm sure he could help you and point you in the right directiion.

Wow your bed is made of what my headlight support is made out of. Glad my beds aluminum... I'd be pissed.

Bed was like that when I bought it. It doesn't matter much to me because it's an off-road rig. It just bothers me because I can fix everything else on the body but I can't do anything about this stupid little spot on the bed.

SMC is a lot like fiberglass, but you'll need to use this. Build it up and then sand it down. Use some fiber sheets to lay down as well of course...
