Here's were I left off. I got the scoop epoxyed, riveted on. Then laid down the first layer of fiberglass..

Then that's were John came in, with his mobile paint shop.

Yeah, I don't know what he did, but there are 4 layers of 3 different kinds of body fillers.

All taped up and down goes the first of 3 coats of spray-on bedliner.

The hood is finally completed.

The hood dried pretty quickly, had it baking in the sun.

Now it's put on the truck. I don't know where the luck came from but, We got it lined up on the first try.

BTW, for those who are curious. No it will not function as an engine intake, but it will be vented to release hot air from the engine compartment.
My reason, I'm going with a snorkel, and hate how flat the hood is.

"it will be vented" means it will have a hole in it!!!

Anyways, I'll be cutting the hood open tomarrow. Two holes one on either side of the center bracing. I'll post a pic.

Thats a steal hood right? if not you will want to put hood pins in it. Trust me, I have exprince in that department.

No, it's a new kind of fiberglass that gets shiny when you grind the paint off...

Yes, it's a steel hood. I have expirience in that department too. Turbo Probe, C/F hood, 130mph, ripped out hood latch, Not very fun....

I hope you don't mind me copying this to my Ranger. I got a nice clean spare hood to brutalize.

what year is the grille out of & any major modications to install into your 94? I was going to be doing the 2003 mesh grill on my 94 with a 2003 powerdome hood ,but your truck looks great with that grille & even more so with that new mod to the hood.

Gee I Wonder what that scoop would look like on a power dome hood??? What brand/style & size is the scoop?
