i have a 1990 ford ranger with a 302 with fiberglass bedsides but no fuel door should i cut a hole in the wheel well and run it up so its in the inside of the bed or should i cut a hole in the fiberglass?

What????
I'm having a hard time imaging this

He got fiberglass bedsides with no fuel door hole cut in the side.

I can't really tell you what to do. That's up to you.

You've got the flared pre-runner style fenders right? I'm assuming that you've still got bed and not just fenders.

Have you considered the Heep style fillers?

You just cut the right size hole and they mount right up to the bed side with screws. Might need to use the upper pert of a Heep filler tube as well, never done it myself so I'm not sure. I think the round style can even be gotten with a filler door.

thanks JoshT ill look them up and see how much they run....im still debating if i want to cut the fiberglass or not and yes they are the 6 or 8 inch bedside flares

I have a kit NIB from Ford, for this issue.

It's for putting the filler neck on a work-body or flatbed. I got it from a shop doing a bunch of military F-350 flatbed conversions.

I'll see if it has a part number, and get pics.

I was gunna use it for my fuel cell.

I wonder if you could get a hose connected to a stake pocket? Then fab a door? Maybe just a brainfart....it's late.

Richard

thanks urban that would be sweet if you could show me some pics and or find the part number...i dont really feel like wrecking my fiberglass bedsides and have something turn out to look like crap

Here's what I got. There it no part number, since they are produced specifically for a military flatbed conversion.
