Fiat 131 build

"makes it easy"

my buggy has like 4 circuits and my wiring looks nowhere near that good. just love this build thread

Which Android head unit did you select?

More info on the I-beam setup. I need this in my garage... :D

It's a Joying 8" unit. about $400. I have one of their 7" ones in my Ranger and it's been really great. Navigation, bluetooth, streaming music, etc.

I have posted about it before I think, but it's a 4x6 beam on 2x3 legs, bolted into the concrete. I knew I would need a way to get my car on and off the rotisserie I built, so I invested in the beam setup. The manual chain hoists are a 2 ton and 1 ton, and even lifting my whole car up doesn't appear to stress the setup at all. It's also very nice for pulling engines or a Ranger cab, which was one of the first things I used it for. I think it was about $5-600 in steel plus the hoists, but that was a few years ago

Paint/Body/Lights/Stickers/etc are all done

My car was originally red with white stripes on the hood, so I recreated that with the black

Waiting for wheels, pistons, connecting rods, cams, clutch and a few other things to show up

I really like it. It looks much less cluttered than most of these cars. Those narrower square fog lights are probably a big part of it

Yeah those lights fit nice in that slot in the bumper. Fun fact: those fog lights are NOS 1968 Shelby Mustang LUCAS lights. Most of these cars run the huge round lights like the original Group 4 cars had

Yeah, these like are Racecar not RACECAR.

IIRC, there ia a TRS member has a new(er) Fiat 500 Abarth Edition as a DD.

And we have wheels and tires.

15x10 Basset racing wheels with 285/40-15 Pirelli tires. I had a hell of time finding the right gold paint for the wheels but I think I got it.

Still waiting on engine parts to show up
