I have a small dent in the front drivers side fender of my 96 Ranger. I think I'm going to need to pound the dent out from the inside which will require removal of the fender. I know there are bolts/screws under the hood which will need removed and they are easily accessed. Are there any other bolts or screws elsewhere which are difficult to get to? Thanks in advance for any help.

There's one in the door jam that's a little bit of a pain. Plus I think there's one either behind the headlight or the corner.

Thanks very much for the info. Kind've cold where I'm at to tackle right now but as soon as the weather warms.....

The one in the door jam shouldnt be a prob if you have an extension on your wrench. I used a drill with a socket bit on a bit extendor, worked real fast. The one behind the headlight was a bugger though.

Taking off the fender is far to much work just to get a dent out. Remove the plastic inner fender instead and work out the dent with the fender on the truck if at all possible.

You would also need to remove the turnsignal, 2 bolts behind it, a bolt behind the bumper, all the bolts for the inner fender, and the bolt at the bottom rear of the fender. Some of them might even break due to rust.

Seriously, try and do it with the fender ON the truck.
