I had a heavy duty fan clutch on my 94 ranger 4.0L manual transmission running the HD waterpump and 2 row automatic radiator. It overcooled itself (would not get past the C) I blocked off the whole radiator to try to get my truck warm in the winter and it did not help much. I have since bought a decent adjustable thermostatic fan controller and I am making a custom fan setup for it at the moment. My goal is just to get the truck to warm up quicker and to replace all that old crap in the engine bay. I run a yellowtop optima battery so I'm not concerned about the heavy current draw and I feel it will be the best solution.
