So i have been running around with a pair of 35x14.50 15 boggers on the rear axle. My rear axle has a spool in it. On the pavement you can hear the tread grabbing and scuffing but no real audible noise and it doesn't really feel like binding on turns in a parking lot.
Well I got some 35" BFG mud terrians. WOW what a difference. Now on any turn at all they bark very loud lol. Taking on/off ramps to the highway they bark. And in the parking lots it extremely loud and you can really feel the bind and hop of the axle and susp in the rear. Amazing how much the tread/lugs of the boggers really gave to the traction vs the much smaller lugs and tread of the BFG's. And I am sure the much smaller contact patch of the BFG's plays a roll as well.
But really happy with the truck. Drove it last weekend almost 250 miles on the high way and yesterday put another 100+ miles of high way on it. Not to mention I have been dd'ing it all week for work etc. But I think it really only has a top speed rigth now of about 65mph.
It was probably it then....the guy that has it now lives in Brighton.
But there is another tan 4dr that is there quite often that is a bit taller and ahs wider tires on it and lots of body lift under it as well as the ttb.
Found out today the explorer is no more......he was jumping it and after about the fifth jump he parked it and walked away only to have it go up in flames .....made for a cool video though.
