that's cool....never seen one of those. i think finding one would be harder than getting it to work

Supposed to be popular on the big cars too.

Do you smoke or otherwise use the ash tray? I've found that a Midland 1001z will fit right into the slot for the ash tray in a gen 1 dash. It only takes a slight modification of the tray slides to bolt it in.

I might even still have my modded slider around somewhere.

I have an old Cobra AM/FM CB in dash with the 2 knobs from 1976. Bought it at an auction for 1 dollar brand new still in the original box never opened. I have it in my ranger and it works like new. I'll post up some numbers of the radio and some images later.

I don't smoke but I do like to keep change in there.

I thought it would be a neat somewhat period correct accessory if you could turn one up for a decent price.

That is just for the mic, you still need a bunch of stuff to transform that from a $300 paperweight to a functional radio. IMO a donar vehicle is the only practical way to go.

Mine is full of screws that I took out of the dash and then couldn't find holes for when I put it back together.

Damn, didn't even realize it was just the mic portion!!! :icon_surprised:

oh, well damn. yeah, i'd say find a donor vehicle.

Shepherd to Lost Sheep, Shepherd to Lost Sheep...... you got your ears on?

I think the one in my dd is still off because of the chatter coming out of the local CO-OP while I was trying to listen to the regular radio.

I like that all-in-one antenna, wonder how well it function compared to a firestick or whip.

Must not have been too big or they would have made more of them...

If I found one I would try it though, I really don't like my extendable stereo type antennea that loves to get bent.
