Fabtech lifts

Anyone here have any experiance with Fab Tech lifts? I'm trying to lift a 04 2wd b2300 and so far the only one I could find is through fabtech. The total I was told (through a local 4x4 shop) was 925. I'm basicly looking to make a pre-runner truck. I think the lift size I was told was a 2inch, with new hubs and what not.

are you trying to make a real desert truck or just the looks?


the fabtech kit is more looks then anything.....if you do get one, just make sure to bump and limt correctly or you will go threw balljoints like no tomorrow.


if you wanting a real "prerunner" front end, BTF fab, H&M,Strenger, camburg, chad Mcneil,,blitz. or dixion bros if your 4x4....think BTF also puts out a 4x4 kit.not 100& sure on that...

I'm gonna use it off road but not all the time. I still want the truck to operate normally on the road as well. My thoughts are 2 inch suspension, 1 inch body and 31's and I'll have no problems driving anywhere for the most part.

Fabtech def. does NOT go with pre-runner, two of my friends have the 5.5 on their rangers and they have a whole 2 inches of space between there A-Arms and the bump stops, WE also installed the 5.5 if you know how then i suggest doing it don't have a shop do it just wasting money. if you are going to off-road and crawl over logs and climbs hills i don't see a problem, if you plan on hauling ass over bumps and driving it like a Pre-runner then i have even heard stories of fabtech spindles pretty much exploding. Fabtech= capable off road pavement pounder. By the way a "pre-runner" trucks most important part is the Long travel suspension, anything else is just a lifted truck.
