fabbing up snorkel

i run a snorkle on alot of my trucks because the fact of the matter is around here its not uncommon for me to be chewing through a hole the likes of which most of u guys would be screwed in. i have run MANY snorkles and nothing ever decreased gasmileage, its the same concept of a long ass cold air intake, doesnt do dick for performance.

the fact of the matter is most the time im in mud/water thats EASILY coming over the cowl of my truck chewing through a hole, if u plan on playing in the deep stuff the a outside the truck snorkle or in the cab snorkle is a must

i ran one on a toyota with a 22r and it killed the mileage, snorkle was from the carb though the fender and up the side of the cab

i dont see where it would eat gas milage, and if it did it wouldnt be much cuz its just sucking air from a more remote location, but then again its some damn tech/scientific thing

many things happen to a fluid as it flows though a tube.im not going into it. but i think the reason my toyota ran bad was becuase of not enough CFM through the snorkle probably would have been better if i used a large ID pipe. but i didnt care enough to change it it was a trail rig not long after the snorkle was installed. flowed by a cracked block while trail riding in wellsville lol

lol, yeah and gas doesnt really matter of the road, as long as u have a spare tank of gas to get back home with lol, i think ill try and use mainly large tubes, then

it would help if you calculate the air flow rate through your motor. here is the formula (Engine Size (CID) x RPM)/ 3456 x Volumetric Efficiency = Intake Airflow (CFM). then calculate the air flow rate of your tube taking in the fact that any bend will decrease the rate of air flow. as a general rule 135 cfm of air flow per 1" of ID, so a 3" ID tube would have a flow rate of about 400 cfm. just remeber to over do the pipe diameter to take in acount the losses from bends and pipe length

so u think that if i try to keep the tubing at 3" all around it will be fine?

depends on the airflow of your intake.figure that and you will know what size to use

im to lazy, lol, ill just take my chances. or put it in my friends shop and have him do it

just stick close to your intake size no smaller id say slightly larger and dont for get a filter

just a assembly snorkel 2 '',should do the work
Шноркель ????? $$$
