f150 towing


A typical minivan weighs 4,000#.

The curb weight of a 2008 V8 GT coupe is 3,483.

Maybe it's spring and some people have several hundred pounds of road grime stuck under their vehicles?

My crewcab longbed weighs 5,9XX#--and that's with some aftermarket things added--like the gear splitter, the hitch under the bed and the rear frame hitch--probably around 200# of added weight. I mean, it's almost as heavy as some people's Rangers. I think the D60 and NP205 I am putting in will add 400-500# so I may soon be able to hold my own in a collision with a Ford Ranger.

With one of them it sure wouldn't hurt to beef it up a little to stand a chance against a Ranger. ;missingteeth;

My 4x4 Ranger with a grille guard/lights, receiver, bedliner, full 17 gallon tank of gas, my brother and I in it weighed just under 3800 lbs. I have since added mud tires, different rims, rollbar/more lights and added to the front bumper so it is probably a couple 100 more but still well under 4k without anyone in it.

My mistake I looked at GVWR. The curb weight is 2740#. My GVWR is 4,000# something, can't see it really well. Half of it is rubbed off.

Sorry for the false info there.

Yeah, I mean the frame is only 9" deep. It's a wonder it doesn't snap in half on a bump. I've been lucky with it.
