Guess those bad auto trannies and door hinges are finally catching up to Ford. Beware lots of incoming used parts to a dismantler near you.

i saw that too. i think it has more to do with the fact that the explorer was the best selling for vehicle for a number of years though rather than them being clunkers. which a lot of them probably are though.

ha my grandma is trading her 95 explorer in it needs to be though that thing is junk pretty much rusted off the frame doesnt run good no exhaust and 4x4 doesnt work she is either getting a new explorer or an escape

Most of the Explorers I have seen in for the program are 98-00 style.

the focus is the number one selling car from the program. ford escape is number 5 or so.

What a shame. Nothing good comes form this bill. Focuses are awful to ride in and worse to look at.

at least its an american car

Maybe because you're what? 6 ft 4? I'm 5 ft 8 and they are comfortable.

Last time I was at the dealer, it's only 50% US parts content. Oh sure, it's assembled in Michigan, but it's less American than a Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima.

I actually say it because of the cheap interior, nasty seats and total lack of foresight in placing everything. I have plenty of leg room.

HEY NOW lol i have a 02 Focus and im 6' 4" haha...

Whats the most going in? and the most out?

I suppose, the 09 Focus we had as a loaner from the dealer was nice and comfortable.

My college roomate had a '03, it was a nice car. It rode and handled pretty good for an econobox/college kid car. The looks were a little different, but there are not too many cars I really like the looks of anyway.

The rebate thing applies to any car company, if the majority of people prefered a Toyota or Honda that is what they would be selling the best. For the heat Ford has taken in the past, it says a lot for them to have the best selling car now.

Kind of ironic the Explorer gets to help save Ford twice, once coming and once going...

never get a neon......my buddy bought it for 100 bucks but its such a shitbox......cheaply made with a 2.0 and a 3spd auto w/o od. but its supposivly a "highliner"
