that's wierd. I got my rear axle from a 99ex and the junction block was on top of the diff. maybe cause it was newer I dunno.
the ex rear i put in my ranger is out of a 96, and it had the same brake line setup as Evan's, but what i did is i got a second right side rubber line, and used it on the left side, then i was able to run everything just like it was stock on the ranger. i did this so i could reuse the exiting extended rear flexible line (from frame to middle of axle housing) i already had, and as Evan said, it dosen't have to travel as much with it being in the middle.
