Hey guys Im getting ready to swap out my worn out leaf springs in my 1990 Ranger. Does anybody out there know if the leaf springs from a 1999 ford explorer are the same dimensions? eye to eye? I understand that you can swap explorer springs directly into my ranger I was just wondering if the 1999 springs had a change in length or anything like that. So if someone could respond ASAP please that would be a huge help in getting my truck back on the road. Thanks guys

They should have the same overall dimensions.

They should have the same overall dimensions.

Thanks! So if I go ahead and order the leaf spring bushings for my ranger they will fit the explorer leaves I bought? Gettin closer to tearin her down!:headbang:

There was a dicussion just last week about eye bushings...

I want to say early explorer springs (before 95?) have the same bushings as the rangers, but newer than that have a larger bushing which is hard to find (maybe impossible) poly replacement bushings that dont need to pressed in?

The one difference on the explorer springs up to 2000 that doesn't bother most people is that the Centerbolt is "Head up" in the
explorer when for the ranger it needs to be "Head down"

However the circular diameter of the nut is "close enough" to work with the bolt
either way.

I have always taken the time to "flip" the bold, but I tend to be particular about some things.
