I bought a 1992 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition 4x4 for parts. It has manual locking Warn hubs, I've read these aren't a factory option?
Is there anything I should be concerned about, anything I should check that could've been done improperly or in a less than adequate way during the conversion?
Thanks.

Not really - it's a very simple (and wise) conversion.

Factory manual hubs (made by Warn) were available (together with a manual-shift transfercase), although they would say "4x4" on the dials, not "Warn".

Like said, very straightforward swap from autos to manuals. Just make sure all the parts are there, and that the outer locknuts are torqued to at least 225ft-lbs or so (book calls for 150, although it's been found by many to be insufficient).

My hubs say "WARN" on them and they're paired with an electric transfer case.
If the conversion's a straight forward thing I won't worry about it.
I think it's strange that the conversion was done in the first place though, considering that the guy I bought it from had owned it most of it's life and didn't know how to put it in 4x4 (didn't know the hubs had to be switched).

If you have an electric shift transfer case and the hubs say "Warn" on them, then someone installed them. Your truck came factory with automatic hubs.
