Explorer and Ranger Hub Interchangable?

Are the Hubs interchangeable between any year Explorer and an '02 Ranger 4x4?

1995-Somewhere around 02 Explorer hubs are compatible with 6/22/00-Present Ranger 4x4s. However, these are specifically referring to the hub assemblies; the years above do not use locking hubs, they are a fulltime setup where the axle is secured to the hub assembly by a large nut at the end.

So basically your saying that my 2002 ranger does not have locking hubs, and is rather locked full time. And your telling me that I can swap hubs (bearings) from an explorer from 1995 to 2002? Thanks!
