exhuast stack

It's called a tractor flapper and if I were you I would just make myself a nice loud side dump exhaust.

Generally it is called a rain cap.

Stacks on a truck look stupid no matter what fuel it burns or how they are routed.

Save them for semi-trucks, tractors and stuff like that.

stacks on a gas vehicle, let alone a small truck, no its a bad idea, the only trucks if at all that should have them are those monstrosity urban cowbows bling out for "towing" so they dont smoke the crap out of the car behind them.

exhaust that comes out infront the rear tire would be the best choice if you want a custom exhaust, other than that, just fix it the way it should be.

well if your ranger is a farm better truck than it might be fun to play around with.

Negatory on the stack action.

Do it but inside the bed. Outside looks just plain silly and will be a target for all sorts of stuff plus they get hot and pose a burn hazard. Just use a 3"or 4" chrome stack to small is as silly looking as overly large. Rain flappers are for Farmalls a Deere John tractors just mitre the tip or do a turn back type the low spot will keep water from getting back in your motor.

No stacks pleeeease. They don't look good at all on a Ranger. Keep stacks to fullsize diesels. Do what others are suggesting and dump it before your right rear tire.
