Exhaust turbo chargers

Thats some pretty thin frame rails...That must be a dodge...I understand it works for some people, and a weekend wheeler that sees light trail work I would agree it could work, as long as you watch where your terrain...For hardcore wheeling I don't think I would risk it, only for the fact that the oil line is down there and if it catches on something on the trail, your down...Good install though:icon_thumby:

The frame rails are the same thickness as a Ranger not to mention the front half is fully boxed...

Another option for an off-road rig is putting the turbo in the bed, a number of people have done this with success.

EDIT: Dur, forgot we were talking about a jeep here.

Why not just have a sump for the turbo instead of using the engine's oil supply. Just plumb in a fliter and cooler a you could have a self contained system.

It's been done. Seems like added complexity to me, it's not like running a supply line and a drain line with a pump is rocket science. Not to mention if you do a self contained system you'll need to size the cooler correctly so the oil isn't too cool or too hot.
