megasquirt is freakin cool. I looked into it on my built Datsun 280Z but I found a great deal on a set of triple Weber DCOE 2bbls that I couldn't pass up so I ended up ditching the 30 year old O2-sensorless Bosch EFI for 6 barrels of carbureted beauty. The original system used an airflow meter with a spring-loaded vane that was already full open at 5500RPM on a stock engine, and that on top the lack of an oxygen sensor made it difficult to tune with boosted compression, aggressive camshaft, tuned headers, etc.
At that time (~2002) Megasquirt hadn't developed MAF support yet, it was all speed-density. One of these days I'm going to put Megasquirt on something...something turbocharged. I just don't know what yet. Maybe another Datsun Z car.
