megasquirt is freakin cool. I looked into it on my built Datsun 280Z but I found a great deal on a set of triple Weber DCOE 2bbls that I couldn't pass up so I ended up ditching the 30 year old O2-sensorless Bosch EFI for 6 barrels of carbureted beauty. The original system used an airflow meter with a spring-loaded vane that was already full open at 5500RPM on a stock engine, and that on top the lack of an oxygen sensor made it difficult to tune with boosted compression, aggressive camshaft, tuned headers, etc.

At that time (~2002) Megasquirt hadn't developed MAF support yet, it was all speed-density. One of these days I'm going to put Megasquirt on something...something turbocharged. I just don't know what yet. Maybe another Datsun Z car.

its going on my turbo 3.3 build (ford vulcan 3.0 w/ morana 3.3 stroker kit). just need to get more resources together. getting books to help me w/ ignition systems and turbo mapping, along w/ some refresher course books on fi and tuning. trying to get everything mapped out so i can go thru it quickly and as painlessly as possible.

have build thread posted under ranger h.o. turbo morana 3.3, it is very slow moving but its still ongoing, just in planning stages currently and letting my funds accrue.
