anybody have the evtms for 90 ranger and a 94 explorer, spacifically the plugs going to the fuel pump.. Ive got a 8 pin blk and a 4 pin blk on the trk and a 8 pin blu and 4 pin blk from the ex. and they arent matiching up.. HELP please

I don't seem to have access to either ATM, but Ford is pretty consistent with their wire coloring. They do change wire positions around a bit. You need to get the hardshells that fit your pump and then get the wires in the positions that match the donor-vehicle harness.

I pulled the fuel pump/sender assembly to find them both bad ( 10 yr old gas does wonders ) and verified wire colors. sender has a orange wire is that grnd?

I did look at my '89' Ranger diagrams and at the tank unit, it has black/pink from inertia switch, yellow/white from gage, a black and a orange ground wires. Only time I remember a ground not being black.

yep thats the exact colors I have on the sender assembly. Now to figure out the rest. Also when I tried to turn it over the little red wire from the fender solenoid to the solenoid on the starter melted the insulation. This tells me a short in one or the other solenoids. And it did not turn the engine over. I pulled the starter and bench tested it and it worked properly. Meaning it spun and the drive engaged. but with no load against it.

Gave in and ordered the manuals off ebay today. about $32.00 total for both

I need an evtm for a 96 ranger splash 4.0. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
