Ever wanted to do the Trans America Trail?

We have an anniversary trail ride in September. A weekend overlanding / camping adventure with a group of Ranger & Bronco II owners before then would be cool.

That is fun to do. It is very neat out there but I never got off the beaten path (have only been out there with family cars)

When I did a trip like this in 2017, i just grabbed my camping gear and left. I had no idea where I was going. I want to plan this one out some so I can meet people.

The drive from here (DFW Texas) to Overland Expo in Flagstaff is going to be over 17 hours if I don't take the interstate, and 14 hours if I take the interstate.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to drive from here to Overland Expo, where I'm going to stop and camp overnight on the way, and still be able to get there early enough on Friday to find a spot to camp.
