Has anybody been camping at evans? I was told there is a camp ground up there. I am going up on monday and wanted to stay the night. If I am by myself I don't mind pitching a tent and camping where ever but my girlfriend will be with me and I have never been up there. What is the camp area like? Should I bring fire wood? Is it okay to have fires up there? Are there bathrooms? I know I need a forestry pass to go up there but is that all I need to camp too? Thanks.

There are bathrooms, i don't think they too terribly horrible, but they are better than outside in the woods. Bring your own TP though, everytime I've been there, there is no toilet paper.

Other than that, the campground isn't bad. Lots of spots, and plenty of room for tents, and yes, I would bring fire wood. Occasionally somebody will leave a piece or two, but that's it.

If you're not sure where it is, go in the main parking lot, go through it, and keep to the right untill you are there.
