Is it nessesarily caused by man? thats arguable either way.

some things to think about. There is evidence of tropical plants in areas that now have permafrost.
There is evidence of a constant hot/cold cycle.
water is about 4x as effective at trapping heat in than CO2. and far more abundant in our atmosphere.

A bit misleading there.

Pound for pound, water raises the temperature more than carbon dioxide.

However, the water cycle is VERY fast -- throw some excess water vapor into the atmosphere and it rains right out again. The carbon cycle takes substantially longer.
