Where is the engine ID number on the 2.8? I had to drop my tranny and rebuild it and I noticed that my motor is out of a 85 Bronco 2 and its in my 84 ranger. my tranny is out of an 83 ranger and i am thinking this truck is pieced together from a bunch of different parts from different years and vehicles. I want to try and track down the last recorded mileage from emissions records.

well never mind. my tranny is shot and i am getting really tired of pouring money into this thing. i am selling it one way or another if anyone wants it 500 obo.
