Engine Swap Questions

Im starting a 4.0l swap from a 91 2wd Ranger into my 90 4wd BII, and Im having a little trouble finding the answers I need. My questions are will the oil pan work for the 4.0l in the BII. And the engine didn't come w/ a fan because the the guy was running electric fans, so would I be able to use the one from the 2.9l or will I have to find one to use? Thanks

Your oil pan should fit. It might be closer, but it should be ok. I have a 2wd oil pan on the 2.9 in my truck and it still fits, it's just closer.

The fan I don't think will swap. IIRC the 4.0 uses regular threading and the 2.9 uses backwards threads.
