I have a problem when I'm going about 50-55 mph I notice like a hiccup/surge. I don't loose any speed or RPM's I it kinda stumbling while going down the road. I have a 2002 Ranger XLT extended cab. with 52,000 miles on it. I've had the plugs changed. The c e l doesn't come on either. It has been on computer for a short time, the only thing they have found is #2 cylinder is misfiring. Any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance.

Well then find why it is misfiring. Test to see if that plug still has spark. If it does, then its most likely the fuel injector. Dont just drive round with a misfiring cylinder.

My #3 recently started to misfire so as soon as i could, i found out what the prob was. Still had spark, so it wasnt the spark plug. Electronics leading to injector still work good. When i got injector pulled out i found that it was stuck in the open position and was allowing too much fuel into the cylinder for it to ignite. You leave something like that for too long and you can cause yourself some bad engine damage. Get it fixed as soon as you can.
