Engine Cleaning

I use engine foam cleaner (autozone, advance auto, etc). Open the hood, disconnect the battery, and cover up anything electrical or that has an opening to the engine. Spray on the cleaner a few times, scrub it up in any necessary areas and then rinse it down. Remove the covers and replug the battery on.

Idle it for about 20 minutes after that to dry up any water residue. Or if you have pressurized air, do it that way.

Finally, put a big smirk on your face, cuz man is that engine CLEAN.

Definitely helped mine, before cleaning it, every time i got out of my truck it smelled like nasty grime was burning. Took care of that problem...

i use purple power cleaner spray it on let it set 15 mins spray it off work good on oil and all

at the dealership i work at we just pop the hood and let'er rip! clean anything and everything. we have a regular pressure washer and a steam cleaner. we use whichever is closest at the time. i washed my trucks motor off the other week and since i have a cold air intake i shut it off and covered the filter with a bag, of course i think i need a new belt because it squealed like hell for a while afterwards.
