Enclosed trailers

I wondered about that but I have never hauled quads in a trailer.
The quads would of fit...my handlebars are around 4feet. But i dont think my fatass could of gotten crouched down enough to ride them in...and pushing them in would of been a pain...as would strapping.

This was my one complaint about a lot of enclosed trailers, even just trying to walk or stand in it you have to duck. Which is also part of why I started looking at box trucks, you get typically a 7’ ceiling. But if you want it as a trailer, there’s work you have to do.
The one my buddy bought is 7ft inside. Theres quite a few that are 7 or even taller.

Only thing that sucks is the extra height normally comes with the 8.5ft wide ones...so youre dragging a sail down the road. My buddy was pulling his with his 16 F150 (5.0) and it gets the trans up kinda hot (220-230) and gets blown all over. Even with his quads its around 4000lbs...so weights not the issue. But it also drops his MPG to like 10. Hes been pulling it with his 02 2500HD that he says handles it much better.

Im sure my truck would handle a wide and tall one just fine...but i already drop to 9-9.5 even with my open trailer. Pulling that thing id pry get 7.

That is the joy of an enclosed trailer, they are a big airbrake.

I bought a new enclosed trailer almost 20 years ago, still have it, hadn’t been out in the road since we last moved 5 years ago. 6x10 haulmark, V-nose, extra height (6’ inside floor to roof) single axle & rear swing doors. was new but a year old on the lot, $2600 out the door. now that same (or as close as you can get) is close to double that now. wind drag is terrible, its like pulling a parachute. Now its just a highly mobile storage shed. 3 years ago I bought another trailer, a 6x14 open landscape style trailer, ramp gate, single axle. was a “rent to own” and in the end I spent $4000 on it, has a 3500# capacity. mostly haul the 8N on it and occasionally mowers or lumber. The great thing about it is there is minimal wind drag compared to the box trailer. My ranger didn’t like the box trailer at all but would tolerate the open trailer. Ive yet to try the box trailer with my half-ton but id bet it wouldn’t notice it much, it doesn’t care at all about the open trailer even with a 3000# 8N on it.
