good question
Hey yall, so I well I guess I really don’t know what the hell is going on, but yesterday my truck stalled out while decelerating and again it did it twice it’s always when I’m decelerating. The power steering goes stiff and I lose all power or atleast my radio goes out for 3-5 seconds and in thoese seconds my truck doesent turn over with the key at all, but then after 3-5 second the radio comes back and I still have to turn the key 3 more times or so for it to finnaly crank over again, well I had my dad with me this time because I wanted him see tho happening and keep in mind it’s not every time i decelerate it’s only when it wants too well so I got to the place I wanted to go and turned the truck off and got back in turned it on and made it idk 70-80 feet back into the main road and all of a sudden I hear a grinding noise and get out well my starter is cranking the engine while the engine is running even with the key out of it. Well it took us a bit but we finally got it. To stop and we got it home somehow idk how really and so we replaced the fender starter solenoid and the ignition switch and the second i turned the key the starter just kept going and going and going if you all need more specific info let me know I don’t really know what to do I hope my engines not messed up because the starter ran for 15 mins or so with it running

Can you post a pic of the fender solenoid? The battery side big terminal gets all the wires EXCEPT the starter wire, which goes on the other side big terminal. The small terminal should get power only when the key is all the way turned to start. Use a multimeter and test the small wire to confirm.
