Electrical issue, maybe alternator?

I can't change it in the parking lot, I don't think they would like my car up on blocks in their lot. One of the bolts is only accessible from under the car. I could just put the battery in the Ranger and let it run for a bit. I do that periodically anyway.

I'm kind of pissed that the battery I had in the car had a broken post. The guy slapped tar on it to keep it from leaking or whatever.

I really feel like egging this guys house. He cleared the codes on me and told me the battery was new.

One of mine was only accessible under too. But my trucks high enough off the ground. I forgot about that issue LOL. Yeah PO was typical though unfortunatly

Once I get it back up and running, and mod it a little, I'll do a burnout in front of his house. I need to kill those summer tires somehow.

I'm used to owners ripping me off. The PO of my truck thought he was ripping me off, so he lowered his price from 1600 to 1200 on the for sale sign, then dropped it to 900 because he didn't want to rip off a kid. He didn't think it would last more than a few months, but she runs like a top when there's oil in it and it's been more than two years. The way I factor getting ripped off is when a car is done, if I have less then 1000 dollars into it on average for each year I get out of it then it was a good deal. That means I should expect to get 3-4 years out of my car. (2500+250+150+whatever else in those few years) I can't blame it all on the PO though, I was stupid and didn't think before I bought it. But I needed the car and I rushed things, so I didn't do as good as a check as I should have. Hell, I didn't even try to talk him down. If all goes well with my financial aid I'll have it paid off next week. I only owe 2200 right now. I would just keep making the payments out of my financial aid but my insurance is way too high. I'm going to pay it off right away and drop the insurance down, plus then if it breaks down again I can just put the truck on the road and take my time at fixing the car.

Yea I dont think it will hurt to charge the battery with the alternator but if you can charge it first it would be better for the system as a whole or if the battery is bad it would be best to just put a new battery in with the alternator and as far as the creep that lied to you let it ride karma will get him no sense in taking it out on yourself or the truck.
